What we are looking for

We are not looking for recipe lists or round-ups. We commission pieces built around a technique, a single ingredient, or a family recipe with a story attached — and we expect the writer to have cooked the thing several times before pitching.

How to pitch

Send a short pitch to editorial@jzko.site with:

1. Two sentences on the dish or technique and why it deserves a piece.
2. One paragraph on what makes your version different from what is already published.
3. Roughly how many times you have cooked it, and what changed between attempts.
4. A link to any writing you have had published, or a short sample.

What we pay and what we expect

• Rates are agreed before you start and paid within 14 days of publication.
• We expect at least two documented test runs and a photograph or two of the process, even if we shoot the final images ourselves.
• Every commission goes through the same testing process as our own recipes. That is not a formality — it is the reason we only commission a few pieces a year.
• You keep the right to reuse your piece elsewhere after 90 days.
